Currently practicing as a level 5 Soft Tissue
Therapist, I am registered with the
Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage
(ISRM). I support clients with general relaxation, sports
massage, and more specific injury assessment and rehabilitation needs.
I have a background in psychology and began working
as a soft tissue therapist after recovering from an accident I had while
climbing. The injury
left me in pain, restricted me physically, and prevented
me from doing many of the things I loved… which then had a negative impact on
my mental well-being.
Due to this, I understand the importance of mental
well-being and its complex influence upon our physical health and experience of
pain. I believe everyone’s
experience of pain is unique and can be driven by many factors, so I take
this into account within my practice.
Sports massage and soft tissue
therapy is not only suitable for those suffering from a sports injury, but can help
to alleviate pain and discomfort associated with the demands of everyday life.
It can also be beneficial for anyone experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety,
and depression, and can offer long term support to those managing chronic pain.
I have a particular interest in women's heath and the effects of massage on mental health and well-being, but enjoy working with a variety of clients.
I'm primarily based in Kingswood and also offer treatments from a lovely therapy space within Tamed and Wild, located in Fishponds. I do offer some home visits in the Bristol and Bath area.
Please get in touch to discuss your individual needs.
